All of my life my engine has run fast. Don’t know about you, but I’m one of those people that has to fight being 3 steps ahead in the conversation. I’ve had to learn to slow down and listen, as well as slow down and wait….Point is, my pal cannabis has been very helpful here. I’m not talking about getting all high and spacing out, I’m talking about the wonderful soothing clam that cannabis can provide. I’ve been able to breathe, take a minute, and truly listen now that my brain has calmed down a bit. I have also included daily mindfulness meditation as a part of my Mental Traffic Management plan, and that plus the Indica cannabis I use has equaled WAY better everything. Cannabis is not a miracle, and I do need to pay attention to how relaxed I get, but if you like me are a hyperactive nut case, cannabis will help fer sure!!
I try to not continually wax poetic about cannabis, but damn, the stuff is the BEST. I was talking to a friend today who has taken all the pills but is still wondering how to get better. It hurts my heart to run into so many people who have physical problems that could be easily solved with cannabis, but the years of prohibition and false information have left a lot of people just plain scared of pot. I have to say stop being scared – this is truly the best natural medicine I have ever found. I too was taking all the pills and doing everything I could to stop the pain. This was not always to healthy effect, I might add. I actually used to have a 3 drug limit; I had to try and not go above three different types of medicine to relieve my pain. Now, with wonderful lovely cannabis I have no pain, move well, and am (almost always) calm and happy. I have to reiterate, lose the pills and try cannabis – you’ll get well!! As I was sitting through a baseball game the other night I was thanking cannabis in my head. I’ve found that with the great green medicine not only am I healthier but I’m muuuuuuch more calm. And I can be with the sports loving family and not get cranky about it. Now I know a lot of people don’t have the racing mind/compulsive energy problem, but for those of us who have a fast motor, learning how to slow it down can be a lifelong challenge. I guess that’s why before I found cannabis Xanax was kind of my friend….tho I never felt healed. I have to say Cannabis has gotten me healthy AND helped me survive boring sports. Again and always, YAY pot!!!!
You all get that feeling in spring where you just gotta dig in the dirt and plant stuff? This time of year, when the leaves are starting to bust out and the maples have that incredible acid green color, I just feel all earthy. I get crazy and must dig in the dirt, but there’s often pain the next day. Not bad, of course, that good kind of exercise pain, but still, I need the green medicine! After a day or even a few hours in the garden I enjoy a little cannabis tincture in my tea, and cannabalm on the gardening muscles. I guess what I’m saying is when you get overwhelmed by Spring urges and get real physical, remember that cannabis, as always, is your friend.
This Saturday at 11 it’s my Cannabis Lotions class. I LOVE this class because we get all messy and have a ton of fun making cannabis infused topicals. There’s almond oil, essential oils, shea everywhere, and hilarity. If you haven’t heard, topical cannabis is basically incredible. Because our skin has receptors for cannabinoids, we get a lot of relief and actual healing from applying cannabis infused stuff to our skin. I’d love to see you this Saturday and show you how it’s done……plus there’s bubbly and cool people and lunch and a ton to learn. Cannabis is all about healing, health and wellness; come see how you too can be pain free and smooth!!
Last summer my cat Hugo J. Treadwell was diagnosed with cancer and given 1 to 2 weeks to live. I love him more than I can describe, but I bet you all know what I’m talking about; that being who always loves you, doesn’t have weird opinions, and loves to cuddle. When I got home from the vet and stopped crying I was wait a minute…..cannabis! I started giving him a glycerin cannabis tincture, hoping to make him more comfortable, and then he just started getting better. With the cannabis he ‘s still here, fat and happy, NO cancer, and even his horrible allergies have gone away. Every time people come over it’s ohmygawd he’s still alive! I know cannabis has made me better, but to save my darling fluffball? Incredible!!
Time to start my cannabis babies cuz it’s begun… the best smelling wettest happiest season, the time for fresh green stuff and letting go of gravy. The last few months have been all about staying warm and comfy; now we can start to walk away from stew and look at crisp crunchy fresh things. I love this time of year as it seems the food is trying to jump out of the earth and into my mouth. Peas, mint, chives, rhubarb, green onions, green everything. Well, everything except the cannabis – that I’m just starting to sprout; stay tuned for pics in a few months. Meanwhile, I say hurray and THANKS!
Pals; just wanted to share some more pictures with you from my cannabis cooking classes. We have so much fun and I feel so privileged to be able to help a little. If you or any of your people have pain, anxiety, or pretty much any of the weirdness that we attract being human, cannabis can probably help. Onward citizens!!
Welcome to my new and improved website! I want to share some pics with you from a couple recent classes so you can see how fun they are. I’m so very thankful to get to help you learn how to cook; the look on someone’s face when their pain disappears or when they can finally sleep in priceless. Huge thanks for letting me help, and I hope you get some good stuff from this new website too. Onward citizens!
ASPARAGUS and PROSCIUTTO ROLLS
The combination of flavors in this recipe will make you and your friends very, very
happy! To serve 4, you’ll need:
1 lb. fresh asparagus, ends trimmed (cut, break, peel – whichever works for you)
4 oz. sliced prosciutto (good quality ham is ok too)
4 oz. cream cheese
Preheat your oven to 375. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the asparagus for
about a minute then drain it well. Lay out a slice of the prosciutto, spread with
about a teaspoon of the cream cheese, then roll it around an asparagus spear.
When they’re all rolled up, place on a sheet tray and bake for about 10 to 15
minutes. You want the asparagus still crisp and the prosciutto kind of crinkly.
Place on a serving tray and enjoy – they’re salty, creamy, and wonderful.
